HON. P. FRASER RETURNS

TO NEW ZEALAND. AUCKLAND, July 18. After an absence of three and a half months, the Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser) returned to New Zealand to-day. He was accompanied by Mrs Fraser, Mr A. D. Macintosh, Secretary of the War Cabinet and Secretary of the of External Affairs, and Miss K. G. Jordan, of the Prime Minister’s secretarial staff.

On arrival at the airport Mr Fraser was welcomed by the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones), the Mayor of Auckland (Mr J. A. C. Allum), and others. The Prime Minister was in excellent spirits.

His views on the form of the international organisation of the future, and the part which New Zealand should play in it were explained by the Prime Minister when he arrived in Auckland fiom Britain and the United States. Mr Fraser spoke of the value of the conference of Prime Ministers of the British Comnjonwealth, in which he took part in London, with its frank exchange of views and its exposition of the present policies of member nations of the Commonwealth in regard to a number of important matters.
