It is not the intention of the Government to fix rates in the transport business. Many requests have been received by the Minister of Transport (the Hon. R. Semple) concerning the fixation by the Licensing Authorities of rates which might be charged by licensed goods service operators, but the Minister stated that he desired all parties concerned in the transport business to agree themselves as to whai rates should be charged. Latest wages and time books are obtainable at the Star Office.
