PRICES SOAR MELBOURNE, November 5. In an animated market, with competition extremely keen from all sections, fresh Australian records for both merino and crossbred wools were established at Geelong wool sales. The merino jsrice was 32Jd and crossbred 26Jd. ' SYDNEY SALES SYDNEY, November 4. At the wool sales 12,905 bales were offered and 12,075 sold. Privately 1734 were sold. There was excellent competition from Yorkshire, the Continent, and America on all the better class of wools. The market was very firm at the previous day’s level. Satisfactory clearances were effected, greasy merino selling to 26|d.
