ABYSSINIAN CAMPAIGN
LOSSES ADMITTED AT ADDIS ABABA. LONDON, February 17. Semi-official views in Addis Ababa minimise the Italian victory at Enderta, but they admit heavy Abyssin inn losses, explaining that the defenders were too closely concentrated when the Italians began an intense bombardment to cover a sortie from Alakale. Afarshal Badoglio’s claim that the Abyssimans have lost Tembien is scouted. A member of the Red Cross, Dr. Brophil, denies that the Italians have reached all the points the occupation of which they claim, but their arrival at, At.alo is confirmed.
