ADDINGTON MARKET

Steady rain throughout the day made conditions unpleasant for the weekly sale. Beef, which was yarded in quantities too big for the local market to absorb, was 15/- a head cheaper on the average. The proportion of steers was heavier than usual, but not even the best beasts offered seemed to attract much attention. There was a small selection of store sheep, which sold at prices not greatly altered from those ruling recently. There were few changes in the other sections. Store Sheep. A few odd lines of sheep, whose appearance was not improved by the rain.

comprised the entry in the store pens. There was a fair attendance of farmers, and practically everything was disposed of at current rates .
