MINIATURE RIFLES

OPENING MONDAY NEXT. A meeting of the committee of the Miniature Rifle Club was held last night, Mr H. Hayward presiding. It was decided to hold the openingshoot on Monday night, at 7.30. Trophies for the opening shoot have been donated by Mrs H. C. Harrison and Mr P. Curran, and they will be allotted to highest score for Indies, highest score for men, and highest score for the evening. Two new rifles have been purchased, a Vickers and a 8.5. A., also the necessary targets and ammunition. Messrs T. G. Drabble, IL C. Harrison and G. McKenzie were appointed a sub-committee to draw up ru'es. The committee will meet at the wharf at 3 p'.m. on Bunday next.
