Mr and Airs J. D. E. Winskill, Caverhill, Cheviot left on Alonday morning on a motor tour of the North Island. Air and Airs Winskill expect to be away for about three weeks Air and Airs T. Wilkinson. Parnassus, left on Alonday morning for a motor tour of the North Island. They expect to return to their home about the end of the month. The weather at Cheviot continues wet and unpleasant. Rain has fallen consistently since last Thursday night and the temperatures have been very cold. The country has been well saturated. but since Friday night there has been no danger of floods. A spell of warmer weather would he appreciated. Farmers arc being held up with their cultivation and arc getting behind with their work.
