THE PICTURES

“BLUE BLAZES.” Those who like their thrills ami fast 1 action hot off the reel will find an os- ; cular feast at. the Picture Theatre tomorrow’ night, in “Blue Blazes,” a William Fox production starring Lester Cuneo, known as The Smiling Daredevil. Cuneo plays the part of Jerry Connors, a world-famed prize-fighter, who tires of public adulation and becomes a mere nobody in search of adventure. He finds what he is looking for in the Great Southwest, where pretty Alary Warren, played by Francelin Billington, is in dire need of a stalwart protector, and he tills the position to the satisfaction of both, and to the dire disgust of her enemies. The story starts in Chicago and jumps to the Southwest, where cattle rustlers and bad men seek to do away with Connors and grab the rich oil lands belonging to Alary Warren, but he beats them all at every turn. This is one of the most exciting pictures this lively star has yet appeared in. He does some great broncho riding, battles his way to liberty from a gaol, and faces a baud of desperate cutthroats, all for the love of this slip of a girl. The latest Fox News and a splendid two-reel Imperial comedy complete a very entertaining progrannne.'
