VIEWS OF AMERICAN LABOUR PRESIDENT. Samuel Gompers, President of the American Federation of Labour, after a conference with labour leaders at Chicago, issued a statement flaying Bolshevism and stating that, in view of developments at Genoa, nothing Oould constitute a more needless or base betrayal of civilisation than American recognition of bolshevik tyranny.
