Ostensibly referring to regular wireless broadcasts to Laitin America from Fascist and Communist countries in Europe, which are known to he causing concern to officials, the Under Secretary of State, Mr Welles, in an address, spoke against alien propaganda and strongly reaffirmed the Monroe doctrine: “ Any attempt on the part of non-American Powers to exert through force, their'political or material influence on Atmbrican continents, will immediately he a matter for the gravest concern, not only to the United States hut to every other American Republic and appropriate action will immediately .be determined as a result of common consultation atnong them. ’ ’
