A dramatic scene occurred in the Cortes wheh Senor Gitroble’s Catholic party walked out followed "by Monarchists. Senor Manuel Fernandez, ex-Minister Df Agriculture, read a statement complaining of Left parties arbitrarily controlling Parliamentary business. Right supporters then withdrew amid uproar and shouts of ‘ ‘Long live the Republic. ” The Catholic party is the largest in the Cortes with 92 deputies out of the Right wing total of 143. Left supporters hold 250 seats.
