Whippet Races
The whippet racing held on Reefton J Racecourse yesterday by the Buller Whippet Racing Club drew a very satisfactory attendance, about 300 jbeihg present. The weather, unfortunately was not favourable, light showers of rain falling during the afternoon. The racing was exciting and the dogs seemed to enter into the spirit of the game, and not a few showed that they disliked being beaten, attacking one another at the finish of the contests, to the amusement of the assemblage. The Buller Club are to be congratulated’ upon the good sporting spirit shown in coming to Reefton and staging such an interesting programme, and Mrs Paul, bhe President of the Club is to be heartily congratulated upon the excellent showing made. The results are as follows :—-
