A party of Englishmen, after an exciting journey to (Switzerland, obtained documents which enable underwriters immediately to appeal against Paris Court’s verdict of two millions sterling insurance on the liner Atlantique. Documents not only prove that important facts in the steamer’s construction were withheld when she was reinsured, but connect Stavisky gang with the fire.
