nr INTER-VARSITY CONTES'] MOSS' GREAT FIGHT WITH JAMIESON. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—<3 apyright.) LONDON, March 29. Inter Varsity golf resulted: Oxford BJ, Cambridge €£. The decision depended upon one of the most dramatic singles in the history of the contest. Two years ago, Jamieson, Cambridge Captain, beat Moss by the colossal mar gin of 13 up and 11 to play, and look ed like repeating it at Pormby today. H ■ He finished the morning round four up and went on to eight up and ten to play. Tbe crowd left, believing the match was virtually over. Then Moss had such an inspired patch that he won five holes in succession. He lost the fourteenth, leav ing Jamieson doxmy four. Moss won the next by holing a chip shot from the back of the green. The crowd filtered back and excitement was intense when Moss won the next two and the fate of the match depended on the last hole. Moas, pitching from the rough to five yards from the pin, holed out with
a gallant four. Nobody believed Jamieson, in the circumstances, would hole a seven foo putt, but he managed it.
