PERSONAL NOTES.
Mrs Gilliee, Auckland, arrived In Reefton on Thursday, on a visit to her | sister, Mrs Brett. Mrs Gillies bee not enjoyed the best of health lately. Mrs Taylor, Auckland, who has been on an extended visit to her daoghter, Mrs Rollarson, left on return this morning by the Cbriitrhureh train. The death took place at Otaki on Tuesday of Mrs Edward Morphy, who with her husband, at one time conducted the hnetely at Ahaura now known as Paul’s Hotel, and fot a time was resident in Reefton et the Globe Hotel. The deceased lady, who was an I aunt of Mr H. Gebbie of Reefton, I leaves two daughters, Mrs Smythe of Otaki and another resident in Wellington. The interment took place at Wellington yesterday. I The death took place et Westport yesterday of the wife of Mr J. H. Harkness, Mayor of Westport The deceased lady was a daughter of the late Mr Talbot, a well known early settler of Richmond, Nelson, and wee well known in Reefton, where she resided for • number of years with her husband, when the latter was bead- | master of the Reefton Diatrict High School. She le survived by two daughters in addition to her buebend, and her demise will be much deplored.
