PERSONAL NOTES.
Mrs and Miss Kemp, of Greymouth, are at present in Reefton, and are the guests of Mrs Lamberton, Buller Road. Miss Stevens, who baa been on a brief visit to ber brother, Mr L. W Stevens, Reefton, left on return to Waimate this morning. Mr Thomas Wilson, formerly a wellknown gold miner of Blackball, died in the Old People’s Home, Greymouth on Tuesday at the age of 76 years. Deceased, who waa a native of England, had no relatives in the Dominion. The death occurred in the Buller District Hospital on Sunday night of Mrs Hawthorne, wife of Mr Samuel Hawthorne, of Millerton. Deceased, who wss 33 years of age, waa a native of Belfast, Ireland, and came to Millerton a few years ago. She leaves a husband and two young children te mourn ber loss. The death took place at Richmond, Nelson, on Sunday, of Mrs Emma Haycock, at the age of 83 years. The deceased lady was the mother of Mrs P. J. O’Regan of Wellington, and grandmother of Mr P. O'Regan of Inangahua Landing. The latter went to Richmond on Monday to be present at tbe interment.
