POLICE RAIDS BOOK MAKING ALLEGED (United Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. Arrests carried out by detectives simultaneously at two hotels and tobacconists’ shops caused something of a stir in tbe city on Saturday afternoon. Three men arrested with another arrested earlier in the afternoon, will appear in the Police Court on charges of being connected with bookmaking. At tbe New Zealander and Alhambra hotels, the barmen were arrested. At tbe tobacconists, the occupiers were taken in charge and released on bail. 1 lk 1
