Week-end Robberies Continued

Reed q 45 a m. New York, Aug 24. Despite exceptional police vigi,l>nce, robbery under arms and gang warfare continued unabated over the weekend.

One bandit was killed and a detective wounded in a pitched battle between the police and a band of robbers caught rifling a shop.

Gangsters’ Shot by Confederates.

Three gangsters were taken by conlederates to nn unfrequented part of ihe waterfront and were lined against a wall and shot down resulting in the death of one and tile seriously wounding of two others.

Death Roll Now 60

Another death has been added 10 Friday's battle. Now over 60 innocent bystanders Have been shot by gangsters’ bullets in 18 months, and of”th>sstx have died.
