S. S. Indrabarah
GREATER DANGER.
MARTON, May 12.
The Indrabarah is now in a.- { more perilous position to-day. j She has come in a good distance and is now within her own lencth of the shore when the tide is out, and if the sea was normal could be reached on horse back at high tide. The sea is breaking right over the vessel which is rolling con-{ siderably, and the sea is not snb< siding. The crew are still abroad. Ihe Terawhiti arr.ved abmt one a. m. but sailed again as the chanc-s of towing the vessel off are doubtful, but she still has her cargo aboard Thebtachis sandy and shelving with a strong undertow MAR'"ON, This Day. Thelndrabar:!) is practically in the same pi sition, though now three parts : broadside to the shore Smoke is rising straignt up, indicating there is no wind. The sea is very rough but shows signs of abating. Rope connections with the shore have been effected and mes&ages are being trans* mitted by this means instead ot semaphoning. No tugs are in sight yet but the Terawhiti is expected as she coaled at Castlecliff yesterday, and has all the necessary gear.; It was too rough yesterday, The' crew are in good spirits.
