It is understood that the Admiralty is postponing theacquisi< tion of the three Turkish battleships for which it has been negot ating, and will wait for Canada's decision on the JNavy JB-11. Ii the Dominion Premier's policy is accepted, Canada will be asked to purchase these craft as her contribution to the Imperial Navy, ihus saving three years' construction. May 13. Mr R. L. Border, the Canadian Prenrer, has earmarked next w< ek for the discussion on the Naval Bill, and if it is not passed then the closure will be applied. He strongly repudiates the state" ment that Britain has sugges'ed that the Ministry should drop the measure.
