Another Main Trunk Line.
jrer Press Association, GISBORNE, May 13. The Hon Mr McKenzie, Minister of Public Works, arrived overland from Opotiki. He spoke favourably of the character of the country he passed through, and thought a rail way v would pay even after the timber was.cleared away. A He was prepared to tl pend money on the extension as ' fast/as possible if Parliament would vote it. The expenditure had doubled since he tookoffict. He emphatically denied the line would be deviated from Motu.
