INANGAHUA RUGBY UNION.
The ordinary meeting of the above was held at the Gladstone Hotel last evening, the President (Dr ScotO in the Chair. A report was read from the Referee re the Reefton-Capleston match on Saturday last stating that he had ordered a player off the field, and it was resolved that he be requested to send a written apolog) to the Referee. The action of the Capleslon Captain in allowing some of the players to discontinue the game was discussed, and it was resolved that in future Captains must keep ihe members of their teams under proper control, otherwise the Union would deal in a very .liattic manner with those offending.
The arrangements for the Schools Competition for the banner was discus ed, it being generally thought by members tin t the Reetton High School vvas altogether too strong for the otl.er schools. Eventually it was suggested to divide the pupils of tie High School into wards, acc( rding to residence in the town, ai d a sub-co nm.tiee consisting ■of Messrs Lochotv, Moore and Berndtson were appointed to bring up a report on the matter. For the v\ hite Star match on Saturday, Mr J. McPacHen was appointed referee.
