An important legal action by a farmer against a firm of potato seed merchants has (says the Auckland Weekly News) just been decided. The farmer bought a lot of Up-to Dates from the merchants, and the seed was duly forwarded, but the crop grown from these seed disclosed the fact that very few of these weie Up-to-Dates at all. The Christchurch Press states that Mr Adam McCracken, the inventor of "Morale," the new explosive, left on Saturday, via Melbourne, for England, to give practical trials, at the request of the British Admiralty.
