Herr Paulas
The initial performance given last night in the Princess Theatre by the above clever conjurer and his talented Company exceeded, if anything, the expectations'of the audience, who BtnnU jested their appreciation of the wonderful illusions presentod to them by loud and frequent applause. Some very clover card, watch, and handkerchief tricks were performed by the Professor, quite equal to those performed years ago by Carl Hertz who created such a sensation here. But the most wonderful and altogether inex* plicable fea's were the Hypnotic wonder, Trilby, The Prisoner of tke Bastille and the Shadow of the Cross, which were Biaspiy marntllous. During the perform* i anoe several beautiNl songs were sung |byMr C Naylor and Mdlle Maudina, cleverly accompanied on the piano by Madame Naylor. To-night a complete change of programme is announced and to-morrow night a Sacred Uoooert will be held after church, which we would recommend all lovers of gond rnusie to attend,
