In an action brought by Matilda Guymer against the south German Goldmining Company, MaldoH, Victoria, to recorer £3000 as damages and compensation for the loss of her husband, William J. Guymer, 27, who was kiFed by a fall of earth at tha mine, the jury awarded plaintiff £500 and £260 to each of two children.
