Many places are without water, and there is no feed for cattle and sheep, which are dying in large numbers. The portions of the colony which are suffering most severely, lie south of the line from Wile&nnia to Casaili'a and Newcastle, <?here no rain of any consequence has fallen since the middle of last y«at. .'..'• ■*■
