Wellington, April 21. Particulars are to hand of a tragedy at Helena Bay, thirty miles from Kamo. The victim being Arthur Kattan, and tlje perpetrator of the deed Robt. Butler. Both men are foreigners and settlers at Helena Bay. The matter was reported to the police at half past eight this morning, Butler being arrested soon afterwards. Butler admitted his offence to Constable Moore. He stated that he had quarrelled with Kattan yesterday morning, about money matters, when Kattan drew a knife and stabbed him in three place 3 on the chest, which the man beara marks of. Butler then drew a revolver and shot Kattan dead. Further investigation is now being made by the police.
