IJY ELECTRIC Trl E iRAPH -COPYRIGHT. United Puess Association. Received Ist, at 1 a.m. Sydney, 80. < The lntei colonial eigth oared race yesterday wan won by the Victorian crow, with Queensland second, and N«-w South Warns third. The Queensland crew had the race well in hand, when unfortunately they broke an oar when within 800 yards of the winning post, which resulted in throwing them back. The New South Wales crew were nowhere. In military circles it is reported that RearxAdmiral Scott would be not unwilling to remove tho headquarters of the Australian squadron from Sydney to New Zealand, and wither that this desire is not altogether unconnected with the lecent dispute as to the pre cedency of the Admiral of the Fleet as "His Excellency."
