A The annual gathering under the auspices of the committee of the above were held on Friday, and attracted a large attendance. The weather was fine, and the different events were well contested. Cochrane, 8 yards . . . . 1 W. Rivers, 8 yards . . . . 2 F, Mclntyre G yards, and H. Smith 4 yards also started. Final Heat. J. Cochrane, 8 yards . . . . 1 G. Cochrane, 5 yards . . . . 2 F. Smith, 4 yards . . . . 3 W. Rivers, 8 yards . . . . 4 Won by a yard from J. Cochrane, with Smith and Rivers close up. 2. Bovh Ilnc»\ First prize 5/ , ; 2nd, 2/G. Entrance free. First prizn £i ; 2nd, £2. Entrance ss. Eight, competitors or no 2nd prize. For this event there were eight competitors, lien Orr proving the victor.
