GLOBE.

* The winze has now reached a depth of 99ft, and has carried throughout a a well f prmed and compact reef. A drill put into the reef at the bottom of the winze to day shows 9ft thick of clean stone without a sign of the hanging wall. The drillings gave nn excellent prospect of coarse gold. This end of the block having now been thoroughly proved to a depth of 11 5 ft on the underlie, it is intended to start another winze 800 feet east, to similarly prove the reef at that point. This work will be started on Monday next. Owing to a short stoppage only 170 tons were crusheddiu'ing the week, which gave the 1 highly satisfactory return ef 2900z of amalgam. The mine altogether nevr promised better than it does at the present time.
