AT an adiourned special meeting of the Council held at the Council Chambers, Keefton August Ist, 1881, it was resolved on the motion of Councillor Williams, seconded by Councillor Trennery--That the Council doth by this tesolution make and levy a separate rate of three pence in the pound on the annual value of. all rateable property as appearing in the valuation roll lor the time being in force within that portion of the Riding of Beefton as defined by the following boundaries, viz— On the north by the right-of-way between Shiel-street and Church atreetj on the south by tbe Inangahua river ; on ths east by Donovan-street and on the west by Hampden road ; and the said rate is hereby made i That it be for a period of one year commencing on the Ist day ol September, 1881 ; and that it be payable in one sum on the 7th day of September. 1881, nnd this resolution is hereby declared to be s special order of the said Council.
