ENERGETIC.
A trial crushing of 48 tons of stone from the new trial shaft below tho main level was made last week, giving the average return of 12 dwts 2 grs to the ton. This from a lodo of such magnificent dimensions as exposed in tho shaft is decidedly good. Tbo shaft is down 63 feet and still discloses a handsome reef. The Battery has been stopped since Monday for the purpose of effecting a few incidental repairs, and steam was to be got up this afternoon.
