A splendid force of water was on and the brigade working well, all danger was averted in a short time. Had there not been a good supply of water nothing pould bavo saved the whole block— an important business ono. Lovy and his storeman, Tuffnell, wero afterwards arrested da suspicion of incendiarism and brought up before tbe K.M. this morning, and remanded to next Monday. Heavy l)ail was imposed. Insurances on building Standard, £200; Norwich, £150; Victoria, £200 : Imperial, on stock, £250 ; London and Lancashire, £200 ; Imperial, £200 Tbe privileges for the Spring race mooting wore sold for £200. Total receipts Indian Famine Relief Fund, £530, List now closed.
