MAURRAY CREEK.

[FBO|JI OUR MINING KIiPOKTEU.J WEALTH OF NATIONS/ AVjijxvJisD/XY, September 5. Since stone was first .met witl^ in the, Enterprise tunnel, tlie \rork of. every day appeai'3 to givn'au improyeiaent, both m the form, and quality of quartz, :and there is every reason to believe that a really excellent reef vyill be fairly ejxposod iv this tunnel. The face at the. present time in one part of it shows about 18 incbes of clean stone, and about anotboi' 18 inches of quarts slightly mised witb pug. The form of the lodo is not yet qnijte. so well defined as the reef in tbe course) of operation,/ but there appears to bo iuo doubt now tbat the broken coti'ntry 'has boon passed and good solid formation is being entered. The 3tone shows gold very freely and is of the best quality ever obtained in the mine. The position of the face iv relation to the upper workings is fully 300 feet south of the perpendicular line of tbe southernmost point of tlie works on the level abovf, and abojfc 120 foot of a lower level ; if therefore the lode continues to improve at the same rate it has done since it was first intersected, there is. v Iri^ht future in store for those interested. The other works continue without interruption, and with no im« portaint change to ueed'comment.
