VfTHEREAS, the I ahgahua County Council, at a meeting held on the Ist day of Augustflß77,Yas?uan,t tathe powers oonferred by Sect»a 107 of the 'Counties ct, 1876," and in exercise of the same, and of all othir powers in this behalf them enabling, resolved that a GENEBAL RATE on .all Katsable Property within the said County, for carrying into effect the gjeneral purposes of the said Act, should be made and levied in accordance with! the provisions of the said Act, and of " Ttie Rating Act, 1876." And whereas, in aid by the said resolution the Council res >lred that the said Rate should be made and levied as | aforesaid for the period of Dne year from 4bd day of the making and livying thereof, and should be paid in onelsum, and that the amount of such rate {should be the sum of ONE SHILLING in the POUND on the values df the Rateable Property a^ appearing in the Valuation Roll now in force in the Obunty aforesaid. Notice therefore is herebr given pursuant to the provisions of the last mentioned Act that the said Council »n THURSDAY, the 18th day of Augu t, now instant, intend to make and levy iuch Rate, and to order and direct tbat th > amount thereof shall be the sum of O c Shilling in the Pound on the values ajbreeaid; that the said Rate shall be for tie period of One Year from tbe date of the making and . levying thereof, and shpll be paid in one sum on THURSDAY! tbe 27th day of SEPTEMBER, now nlxt ensuing.'
