Had the battery been fully employed during (he whole month, the dividend would douh'leas have been larger; but considerable delay w.as occasioned through M'Callu 1 '!, and party throwing up the contract r'or raising stone. Mr Irving, the new contractor fo,r the same work, has np,w fully manned the mine, and fifteen head of stampers will be kept going the ensuing month ; and as soon as the rise is frnished, the contractors will start the twenty head of stampers. Th,e shareholders of this company have to, all appearances a good prospect before them, and the management de 'serve the thanks of the shareholders for their successful arrangements in : the, purchase of the Crushing Battery.
