EDUCATIONAL DISTRICTS.

[to the editor inangahua times.] I recently saw in a down country paper a statement to the effect that a petition bad been received by the Westland Board of Education from residents of Eeefton, praying for the establishment of an Educational District here, under the Westland Board. lam led to believe that the statement is incorrect, as I can find no one here who knows anything whatever of such a petition, and I think it highly probable that had such a petition been forwarded from this district the public would be likely to know something of the matter. I may say it it the first I have heard of any desire on the part of the parents here to affiliate with Westland in the matter.—l am, &c, Parent. Reefton, July 20th, 1877.
