COUNTY NUISANCES.
[to the editoe iif angahua times.] Sir.— l clesire to ask through the medium of your colunins whether something caunot be done to purge' this community of the many glaring ■ nuisances which offend the sense's of the inhabitants at almost' every turn throughout the town? Summer is now advancing, and with i deadly epidemic at Hokitika, it is for ;he authorities here to see that proper jleanliness is observed by every houselolder in town. One has only to take a
. walk in tho rear of the principal streets to • see the urgency of a more strict sanitary > regulation. Hoping these few remarks 1 will have the good effect of awakening 1 our public body to a proper sense of its ' responsibility in this important subject, "■' I am, &c, NEMO, Eeefton, July 10th, 1877.
