Wood stated that Dr Coius Ueowne was undoubtedly the inventor of "CHLORODYNE ;" that the itory of the defendant Freeman being tho invoHtor was deliberately untrue, which he regretted had been sworn to. Eminent Hospital Physicians of London stated that Dr J. Collis JBkownk was the discoverer of Ohlorodyne j that they prescribed it largely, and mean no other than Dr JJeownb's.— Wee Times, of July 12, 1864 The Public, therefore, are cautioned against using any ofcher than Db J. Collis Beowne's Chloeodtne. REMEDIAL USES AND ACTION. This INVALUABLE REMEDY produces quiet refreshing sleep, reHoves pain, calms the system, restores the deranged functions, and stimulates healthy action of the secretions of the body, without creating any of those unpleasant results attending the use of opium. Montgomery, Esq., late Inspector of Hospitals, ,, .Bombay: "Chlorodyne is a most valuablo reinedp in Neuralgia, Asthma, and Dyßentary. To it I fairly owe my restoration to health, after eighteen months' severe suffering, and when all other remedies hud failed." Dr. Lowe, Medioal Missionary in India, reports (December, 1865J : — •' That in nearly every case of Cholera in which Dr. J. Coll^s Beowne's Chlorodyno was administered, the patient recovered." Extract from the Medical Times, January 12, 1866 :— "Clorodyne is prescribed by scores of orthodox medical practitioners. Of course, it would nod thus bo singularly popular, did t not ' supply a want and fill a place.' " Extract from the General Board of Health, London, as to its eracaoy in Choleia: — "So sttongly convinced are we of the immense value of this remedy, that we cannot too for« eibly urge the necessity of adopting it in all cases."
