[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.] [*£B PBIt"! *»SOCL4.TICX.] Dunedis', June 30. A somewhat interesting proceeding, the first of its kiud, under the Bankruptcy Act, 1876, took place to-day in Judge's Chambers. Tboraas Calcutt, who refused to appear before tbe trustees iv an insolvent estate, waa brought up under warrant, for examination as to his knowledge of the affairs of Joseph CuDniugham, a debtor, residing at Palmerßton. Calcutt was arrested at Palmerstoi, to be conveyed in custody to Duuediu, but direction was issued from tiie Supreme Court that Mr Calcutt was not to be brought in custody, provided that he gave his word that he would attend Court here. The jury returned a verdict that Wbitt* died from a stab iuflicted by Pri":e, jwhb at tbe time was of unsound mind, land also that more warders should be provided to look after patients while 'exercising. ' Sixteen dogs are entered for the inaugurjl coining match, which takes .place on Monday next.
