Wood stated that Dr Collis Bbowne was undoubtedly the invontor of "CHLORO* DYNE;" that tho story of the defendant Freeman being the inventor was deliberately untrue, which he regretted bad been sworn to. Eminent Hospital Physioians of London stated that Dr 3. figuiS Buownb was the discoverer of ChloYddjfiei that they prescribed it largely, and mean ne other than Dr Bhowne's.— «ee Times, of July 12, 1364. To it I fairly owe my re-, storation to health, after eighteen months' severe suffering, and when all other remedies had failed." Dr. Lowe, Medical Missionary in India, reports (December, 1865) :— •' That in nearly every case of Cholera in which Dr. J. Collis BaowNs'a Chlorodyne was administered, tho patient recovered." Extract from the Medical Times, January 12, 1866 :— "Clorodyne is prescribed by scores of orthodox medical practitioners. Of course, it would not thus be singularly popular, did t not ' supply a want and fill a place.' " Extract from the General Board of Health, London, as to its efficacy in Cholera : — " So sttongly convinoed are we of the immense value of this remedy, that we cannot too for* cibly urge tho necessity of adopting it in all coses." Beware of spurious and dangerous compounds sold as "Chlorodyne," from which frequent fatal results have followed. bee leading article, Farmaceutieal Journal, Ist August, 1869, which states that Dr. J.
