Eminent Hospital Physicians of London stated that Dr J. Collis Bkownk was tho discoveror of Chlorodyne; that they pregcribcl it largely, and mean no other than Dr Beownk's. — See Times, of July 12, 1864. Dr. Lowe, Medical Missionary in India, reports (December, 1865) ;— •* That iv nearly every case ef Cholera in which Dr. J. Coma Bbowne'B Chlorodyne was administered, the patient recovered." Extract from tho Medical Times, January 12, 1866 : — "Clorodyne is prescribed by scores of orthodox medical practitioners. Of course, it would not thus be singularly popular, did t not ' supply a want and lill a place.' " Extract from the General Board of Health, London, as to ite cflicacy in Choleia : — " So strongly convinced are we of the immense value of this remedy, that we cannot too for« cibly urge the necessity of adopting it in all cases."
