[to the editob inakoahua times.] Sib,— ln answer to the letter signed " Social Progress," in this morning's Herald, I wish to state that it hat long been a wish of my own that a " Debating Club " should be formed in Reefton, bat the great difficulty that presents itself in this as well as in other things caculated to raise higher in the social world is the getting anyone to take the initiative ; but perhaps " Social Progress," who appear* to speak- from knowledge of the subject* would come forward himself and start »o> desirable an institution in oar midst.
