INKERMAN.
The, shareholders of this mine nothing daunted by their late disappointment have resumed. operations, and have now wages men employed in extending the main tunnel and driving on tho reef. The late works have shown that that portion of the lode from, which the stone recently crushed was obtained was more of a surface blow and, djd not assume anything like a defined formation. The reef in the tunnel now presents a, more defined appearance, and every confidence is entertained by the shareholders that by a careful system of work being adopted the mine will yet be brought to a profitable issue. The greater part of those interested are working men, and the staunch perseverance they are exercising in. ord_r to give the claim a fair trial is deserving of the highest commendation, and it is to be sincerely hoped their efforts w«H be crowned with success.
