MURRAY CREEK.

[FROM OUR MIXING BEPQBTEB.] WEALTH OP NATIONS. Wednesday, April 4. On learning that, a new reef bad been struck in the old Enterprise tunnel, I visited the scene of operations this morning for the purpose of ascertaining the nature of this important discovery, which is doubtless a subject of considerable interest to distant shareholders. Although at the present time the appearance of the face will scarcely ad-nit of stating that a thoroughly well defined and payable lode is proved to exist, there is nevertheless such indication combined with the knowledge of the ground from previous works on a higher level as to encourage the belief that on further penetration a really valuable block ot stone will be met with, and augurs another bright future in store for those wlio are fortunately in terested, In the previous development of the mine it has been shown that every block of stone that has been met with the formation of country for some twenty or thirty feet previous to the solid lode presenting itself was of a broken nature, and the stone a poor quality ; the ground now being passed through in the Enterprise is of precisely the same strata, which strongly justifies the belief that a good reef will sliortlv appear. The form of the surface in a perpendicular line of the pre-ent face also shows that every foot now driven carries into rising ground and more solid country. It will doubtless he remembered by those who were acquainted with the nature of the old Enterprise Company's workings that several large blocks of stone were disclosed, but could not be shown to live down. The supposed line of reef on which this company's hands are now driving bears precisely the same course as the various blocks of stone referred to on the higher level, it is therefore anticipated that this discovery will eventua'ly become the continuation of the same, and from these facts there appears to be but little doubt tmt in the course of a few weeks this ground will prove to be a rea'ly valuable acquisition to what is already established as a splendid mine. The various improvements at the machine house are steadily progressing, with nothing of special interest to record from the other portion of the interior workings.
