The contractors oaibe upper level have dm en nearly forty feet, and have about another foriyfive feet to go, which it is expected will cross the line of the Wealth's east surface reef. The battery is constantly occupied, no interruption having lately occurred, and the general works of the interior afford nothing of special interest to mention this week.
