«. 1 [BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.] [PEB PEE 93 ASSOCIATION.] Dtjnedin, March 6 Immediately after the cricket match yesterday Edward Pooley, the celebrated wicket-keeper, and Albert Bramball, the money-taker for the English Eleven, were charged with having at Cbriatchurch maliciously in* jured the property of Ralph Donkine above the value of £8, and contrary to the provisions of the Malicious Injuries to Property Act, The defendants were remanded to appear at Christchurch on the 12th March current, and they are admitted to bail, themselves in £100, and two sureMes of £50 each. Chbisxchuboh, March 4 A meeting of the Licensing Commissioners held to-day, decided on the question of extra licenses where more than one bar exists in the same house, that all publicans should obtain licenses for every bar more than one on their premises. One publican, under this rule, will have to pay for three extra bars. Mrs Scott-Siddons is having a successful run at the Theatre Eoyal.
