[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. [PEK PBE3S ASSOCIATION.} Dunjdin, January 30. The case of Robertson v. Boss was brought to a close last night, when fhe jury, after being locked up for nearly five hours, brought in a verdict for defendant. The verdict of tbree-fourths of the the jury was taken under an Act passed last session, as the jury were not unanimous on all issues, but were unanimous on the point that they were not likely to agree as a whole on all questions involved in the case. In dismissing the jury, liia Honor said ho was sure both the parlies and the public would be exceedingly obliged to them for the great pains and trouble they had taken in this case. , A cowardly attack wa3 made on the Artillery Band last night near the corner of King and Union-streets ; as the band was playing and leading the battalion , tbey were assailed by a volley of stones. Sergeant H. Hogg of the band wns , seriously hurt, his nose having been broken, and several members of the band were struck, one of them on the back of the head. Several were saved by their instruments, which were more or less damaged. No one could tell whence the missiles came.
