MURRAY CREEK.
[FBOM OUB MINING EEPOBTEB.] ENERGETIC. Wednesday, January 'i. Although the sharebolders of this mine have not received as large an amount in dividends during tbe past year as might have been anticipated, "tbey hive nevertheless every reason to be perfectly satisfied with the general progress made. The mine was never in more eunnlete working order, and the financial affairs of the company are also very satisfactory. During the holidays a number of hands have been engaged in raising the boiler, which wiil by the close of'this week be in readiness for them again, and the inner workings will bo ouce more ih full swing. I understand that the whole of the com» pany's liabilities have now been liquidated, and after the expense of present improve ments at the machine rthouse bas been satisfied, there will still be a tolerable balance ia hand, and as the mine is in good working order, with an abundance of stone at command, tbe amount of labor required to keep up the supply for the battery will be considerably less than for the past year. Shareholders may there* fore look forward to very satisfactory results from the future operations.
