NGATEA PARENTS’ DAY
VISIT OF SANTA CLAUS
AOTEA WINS POINTS PRIZE
The Ngatea District High School held its annual parents’ day and sports in the school grounds on December 12.
All events were keenly contested, all competitors being loudly cheered along- by their team mates. Aotea was the successful house on the day, gaining 230 points, with Arawa, 149 points.

The primers’ room was gaily decorated and in the middle stood a lovely Christmas tree laden with gifts. Santa Claus duly arrived' to the tune of “Jingle Bells” and loud cheers. Each child was given a present off the tree and a bag of sweets. Much credit is due to the teachers, who spent a lot of time arranging the tree. The day concluded with a Christmas party.
